osirisRecommendations

Recommendations

We recommend you that at the start of the day the first thing you should find out, before choosing a beach, is the direction of the wind.

ibizabeaches

If you are looking for a calm sea, go to the opposite side of the island from the direction the wind is coming from, the " leeward " side in seaman,s language.

On the other hand, if you want a sea with greater movement, more appropriate for certain sports, go towards the part of the coast where the wind is coming from, the " windward " in the language of the sea.

Enjoy it !! - Ibiza - Balearic islands - Spain

hotweather

To make your holiday an enjoyable one,

remember fast taning

is not necessarily wise tanning

a) Always use a cream with a hight protection factor and decrease the strength as your tan increases

The ultra violet rays of the sun are at their most intense between 12.00 h. and 15.00 h., so unless you are very dark skinned, sunbathing during this times should be avoided. The reflection factor from both the sea and the sand will also increase the potency of the sun

Sunburn can be painful, lead to blistering, severe burning, dizziness and will certainly defract from your holiday enjoyment

b) Children in the sun need special protection and BABIES should never be left in direct sunlight, should always war a hat and be given plenty of fluids to avoid dehydratation

c) Is it not usual to see jellyfish, but if stung, apply vinegar to the affected area

d) Take of swimming in the sea, but do be aware of the flag warning systems :
